On 21 November, the event will be generously hosted by one of the UK’s leading flexible packaging manufacturers, FFP Packaging Solutions. Renowned for their industry leading innovations, FFP have been behind some of the most successful product launches of recent times, including the first fully printed oven bags for chickens launched into ASDA and a label reseal system for party snacking foods launched into Tesco and all major retailers.
The meeting continues the organisation’s successful series of packaging sector networking opportunities, with the goal of bringing women together to share experience, accelerate meaningful change across the industry. As part of the event, FFP Packaging will be showcasing a number of key origination and colour management innovations that are vital to maintaining a brand’s identity and integrity, including its brand new, state-of-the-art EyeC Proofiler and conducting a short presentation to WIP UK event delegates.
Joanna Stephenson, director of PHD Marketing & Strategy and co-founder of WIP UK, said: “It absolutely paramount that networking events are made accessible and useful to female employees in the packaging industry, providing a platform for women to make their voices heard and recognise their achievements in an environment that doesn’t always pro-actively encourage it.”
“We’d like to give our sincere thanks to the team at FFP Packaging for their generosity in hosting November’s event. The business truly understands the importance of industry diversity and we’re all looking forward to meeting the team, as well as finding out more about the impressive suite of innovations that they have developed and brought to the market.”
Co-founder Debbie Waldron Hoines of Avant-Tout (Management Services) Ltd added: “Our wholehearted thanks to go to FFP Packaging for their kind offer to host the Women In Packaging networking event. As we continue creating opportunities and support for women in packaging and affecting progress in the industry, the support and contributions of businesses like FFP are truly invaluable.”
